About Moving Point
The Moving Point is a workshop and experimental space exploring the interaction between movement and drawing, and the graphic possibilities of movement representation. Through playful observations, we look at how we can depict movement as effortlessly as possible, how we can use our drawing expressions in our dance, or how to draw while moving and what the impressions of this can be.
About Me
Since I was almost a child, two important pillars of my life have been dance and drawing. It has been a decade since I found a way to have both in my life at the same time.
For me, contact improvisation is not only a form of movement that I love and often dance, but also a wonderful space where miracles are created, and I often like to visualize them. Observing the dancers as they move, their momentum, their directions, their dancing, their joy, their abandon, everything that dance gives them. Capturing this in drawing is a great experience. As a drawer I often feel that I am just a moving body in space, the energy of the dance space flows through me and leaves a mark on the paper through my hands.
These works are imprints of that experience.
The depiction of movement is a celebration of the fluidity and rhythm of dance.
